I wanted to capture everything I liked.
I liked the Korean way at first. I wanted to express it in my own way.
Then I met a Dansaekhwa. Repeated actions, new expressions that come out of them. My heart was moved by the silent movement.
Until last year, I just focused on expressing my favorite colors and filling them in the dug groove. Existing work was also something I liked, but there was always a question of whether I really contained everything I liked on the side of my mind.
I went back to the beginning. What I really want to capture.
I repeated the act of digging a groove and filling it with resin. As a result, a new expression appeared, and when repeated, the expression changed as the number of times it was repeated, and an expression different from the feeling of filling it in the beginning appeared.
In the repetition of digging, filling, and hardening, the things I liked were finally building up one by one.
